For a long while, one of my friends and I went through a phase of creating artwork in the same fashion as you would an animated cartoon. The background was painted with oils on an illustration board while the figure was drawn and painted on a clear piece of acetate. The combination of the two produced some very nice results. In some cases, the artwork had a 3-D look and feel to it. 1986
